Derek grew up in Dan’s youth group at Mount Carmel Christian Church, and then, as Dan ended his time as pastor of Christian Church Buckhead, Derek transitioned in as the new pastor, and has led with vision and consistency while continuing to maintain the unique DNA that made this church so unique. The church moved around some, and landed in a permanent building next to Georgia Tech, and renamed Atlanta Christian Church. Twenty years later, it is fulfilling the mission of reaching people far from God.
