Say YES to Life!

NOTES

You did a great job on the retreat. The students have not stopped talking about the weekend.  "Best retreat ever" ... "that was the greatest retreat" ... "everything began changing for me saturday night" ... the conversations about what God is doing in the lives of students has not stopped since we got back.
~Perry Rubin, Minister, Auburn Campus Fellowship

These are just a few of the many notes received...

Dan -

You did a great job today!  That was a powerful ending.  You hit a home run!!

Dan, Your style is funny, light hearted and yet carries a message of truth, love
and hope for all believers.

I appreciate your mixture of humor, which I know God enjoys – there’s too little of that in the church today … your sincerity and the “in your face” approach to Jesus the person and God’s word.

You're just awesome and bring the message is such a different way - love your humor, your delivery, your sermons and even your A D D!

You cannot know how much your sermons have meant to my husband and me.   Your style … though immensely entertaining (and somewhat unorthodox) … delivered some very important messages that stayed with me and helped me be a better person each week.

Your analogies/story telling make for great teaching and enriched learning.

I don’t think the primary focus at church should be entertainment; however, when there is an authentic Christian message that is deeply instilled in the hearts and minds of people through the comedic words of a creative orator … then I say, “Go for it!!”    As my husband and I discussed your messages each Sunday afternoon (laughing again, of course), we were so grateful for the practical and real lessons that were delivered and stamped on our hearts and minds.

Sometimes no matter how much I am paying attention, I get sleepy during church...but not on your watch!  You have such a genuineness about you...I just can't say enough!

Thank you for making my seriously ill husband laugh so much!  You know … some medical experts think that laughter promotes healing!!  Thank you for making me laugh!  You helped make it better through some very tough trials in my life right now! Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

Our church has been so blessed to have had you with us for the past several weeks.  I see an optimism and sense of excitement growing in us.  You have encouraged us and challenged us which we needed so badly.  God certainly placed you where you were needed!

I have been struggling with depression, among other things, for quite some time now, and have had absolutely no self-confidence.  Your lessons have helped bring to my attention what those feelings really mean-and I am trying hard to let those nasty feelings go.

God is so good and knows exactly what we need when we need it. We needed the uplifting of laughter and we needed the depth of the messages that you brought.
